Author of: Buried Secrets

Lisa Cutts was born in Woolwich and lived in south east London for a number of years until moving towards the Kent countryside. She joined Kent Police in 1996. As a hobby she and began writing crime fiction, entered Myriad’s Writer’s Retreat competition in 2012 and much to her surprise, won and was offered a two-book publishing contract.

Her debut novel, Never Forget, was published on 11th July 2013 and her second, Remember, Remember, followed the next year. Her first book for Simon & Schuster, Mercy Killing, began a new series of East Rise Incident Room crime novels. The second, Buried Secrets was released last November.

Lisa still works as a full time detective constable and has spent the last 10 years in the Serious Crime Directorate dealing mostly with murders and other serious investigations. Despite a very busy workload she writes a monthly column for Writing Magazine answering police procedural questions from other writers.
